The first in this series of musical shows The Ziegfeld Follies staged by producer Florenz Ziegfeld was “The Follies of 1907.”
Combining European style and American topical humor, the show was such a hit that Ziegfeld followed it with 21 annual editions of The Ziegfeld Follies.
Famous alumni include Will Rogers, Ruth Etting, Eddie Cantor, and W. C. Fields.
