Spiro Agnew resign from the vice-presidency on October 10, 1973.

Richard Nixon resigned from the presidency less than a year later, on August 9, 1974, at 11:35 A.M.

Gerald R. Ford replaced both of them.

As representative from Michigan and House minority leader, Ford was chosen to replace Agnew as vice-president, then succeeded to the presidency on Nixon’s resignation.
