Where did Butterfly McQueen get her nickname?

Born Thelma McQueen in 1911, in Tampa, Florida, she got her nickname Butterfly McQueen when she danced as a young woman in the Butterfly Ballet in a theatrical production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

She is best known for playing the weepy slave Prissy in Gone With the Wind (1939).
