What countries are members of OPEC?

In 1960, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries was founded to unify the members’ petroleum policies and regulate prices.

The founding members were: Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Venezuela.

Since then, the following nations have also become members: Algeria, Ecuador, Gabon, Indonesia, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
